Draw to Home - Draw the Line
Whenever you're given the chance to draw in a game, it serves as a mechanic to make a specific action happen. In this game, the only actions that occur from your drawing are whether the people end up at home. You're not being asked to create new features for the canvas world; you simply need to draw the paths that're heading homeward. Of course, nothing is stopping you from drawing the path in whatever shapes and patterns you want, but the people will still need to be able to follow it. As long as they can do that, then feel free to make whatever lines you want.
